CEGOAT is committed to preventing money laundering, terrorism financing and sanctions evasion. We comply with the FATF Travel Rule and all applicable AML legislation in the jurisdictions we operate.
All users must complete identity verification (KYC) before depositing, withdrawing or trading. This includes government-issued photo ID, a live selfie and proof of address.
Higher-risk customers (PEPs, high-volume traders, certain jurisdictions) are subject to enhanced due diligence including source of funds and source of wealth verification.
All deposits, withdrawals and trades are continuously screened against sanctions lists (OFAC, UN, EU, UK) and blockchain analytics risk-scoring (Chainalysis / TRM Labs).
Where required by law, we file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) with the competent Financial Intelligence Unit. We do not notify customers of such filings.
Users from sanctioned jurisdictions are prohibited from using CEGOAT. Wallets associated with sanctioned addresses are blocked.
For withdrawals to other VASPs above the regulatory threshold we transmit originator and beneficiary information in accordance with FATF Recommendation 16.
